International Students

Moving to another country can be a daunting process, we are here to help make the move into your new student home as smooth and as comfortable as possible.

We have welcomed many international students over the 20 years that we have been providing student houses. We are a family run business and as such all our properties are managed by ourselves; you will get a personalised service from Matthew, Kathryn and Lynsey throughout your stay. We are easily contactable by phone, message and email during your stay. Matthew has been an international student himself and understands the worries and challenges you may have when you move to a new university abroad.

Selecting a House

We usually recommend, if possible, that students visit the house before signing the Tenancy Agreement (contract). As this isn’t always possible, we offer virtual viewings on all our properties with either ourselves or the existing tenants. If you have any specific requirements for a house e.g. ground floor bedroom, same sex tenants, main bus route etc, please let us know.

We will require a copy of your valid passport and visa before you sign a Tenancy Agreement. You will also need to complete the “Right to Rent” checks which Lynsey will go through with you. For more information, please click here

We can also send you videos/ pictures of the house and the bedrooms you are interested in and set up a WhatsApp group with the students you would be sharing with, so you can get to know them before coming to the UK.

Additional Services

We can provide bedding, towels, toiletries etc. (for an additional charge) to save you having to bring your own. We provide crockery and utensils, pots and pans etc in the kitchens so you have everything you need to cook and eat when you arrive. If there is anything specific you require whilst you are staying with us, just let us know and we will do our best to help.
